These models have been discontinued. You're still covered, but our policy for repairing and replacing discontinued rods does differ from current models.
Defective graphite will almost always fail within the first few uses of a rod. Since these models are long out of production, nearly all claims for them are incidental breakages of various types. If you feel your issue is due to a manufacturing inconsistency or defect, please submit your claim and communicate to us that you believe this to be a manufacturing issue.
The ECHO policy for fulfilling repair service on discontinued models that are not repairable is to offer 50% off the retail price of the newer model that is closest to your rod.
If the rod is repairable, we will charge the standard $35 warranty service fee. Since we will not know if the rod is repairable until your rod arrives to us, the default service plan is to replace with the updated model. If you call/email us to ask if we can fix your rod, we will be unable to answer this as we can't guarantee anything until we have seen the rod in person. The only way to check is to send the rod in with this service request.
When submitting your service request on this system, you will not be asked for payment information, nor will you be charged. We do not ask for card info or accept payment until after service is complete.
After you submit your claim, you will receive an email containing all information for sending your rod to us.
If after you submit you don't see the confirmation/instructions email, it may have gone to your junk/spam folder.
